Purple Lady Poetry

This you must know –
That death is rarely kind and
You cannot make it so.

For all your plans and logic,
Preparedness and thought,
Death comes sudden
And in ways you never sought.

You, who are left behind,
Do not blame and rage,
Or feel great guilt you can’t contain.
I now am gone and through that door.
The how, is now forgotten, and
I have peace, with pain no more.
